Two great things today...well, two that are blog-worthy.
Firstly, I got on the scale first thing this morning. 150.2 :)
Down another pound...even with some splurging last week. I would like to say that the re-introduction of cardio probably helped. I'm happy that I'm finally feeling better and hope to increase the mileage this week. With keeping to at least a mile a day until New Years.
Secondly, I realized today was the repeal of prohibition in 1933. WXPN celebrated their top five at five with songs about tasty beverages....so I helped myself to a Naughty Nurse from City Steam Brewery.
Yum. It was paired with a cookie from a swap this past weekend. Chocolate base, topped with peanuts, bacon and caramel. I heart being an adult. Cookies & beer.
I also started a batch of rosemary olive oil bread tonight....I'll let you know how that turns out tomorrow.
Until then . . .

December cometh.
Well, December is here. It was going to be a triple threat month...running, praying...and playing trumpet every day.
So far it's been two out of three each day. I have run at least a mile each day since Thanksgiving. The goal is to keep that up through New Year's Day.
I've also been taking time for morning and evening prayer. As we enter into week two of Advent, my mantle is accumulating more stars each day...each star has the name of a person, people or a group of folks I'm praying for each day. I love lighting the Advent wreath and taking time for devotions.
Last year during Advent things were much less steady than they are right now.
Although it was a year ago today that I was here...preaching a call sermon, helping out with confirmation and caroling with the youth group. In a way it seems like I've been here much longer than a year...but I still haven't been here for the rest of Advent and Christmas. So, the adventure continues. I'm so happy to be here. So many things just feel right.
The house is finally coming together, too! The washer and dryer are in place in the new laundry room and the door should be in place soon.
In other news, I don't know whether it was good or bad that I left the house at 7am and got home when it was dark....or that I was carrying my travel mug that still had coffee from the Sunday School Hour.
It was a long day, but a good one.
And I think Marley is happy that I'm home :)
